A 700-year-old odor solution
In Japan, kakishibu — fermented persimmon tannin — has been used since the Heian era to neutralize the compounds behind body odor. Modern research confirms what monks and farmers already knew: persimmon tannin binds to the volatile aldehydes and sulfur compounds that create underarm smell, foot odor, and post-workout funk.
We took that quiet ritual and turned it into one bar. Cold-processed, small-batch, and paired with green tea, charcoal, and camellia oil so it cleans, calms, and conditions without stripping the skin barrier.
